For Immediate Release: November 16, 2023

County announces Thanksgiving holiday closures

LĪHU‘E – In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23.

Closures also include the following facilities on Nov. 23.

• all neighborhood centers;
• the Hanapēpē Sunshine Market;
• the Puhi Metals Recycling Center;
• the Kekaha Landfill;
• HI5 Redemption Centers;
• all refuse transfer stations; and
• the Waimea and Kapa‘a swimming pools.

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged. 

The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its regular schedule on the holidays.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Friday, Nov. 24.
