Road closure scheduled for portions of Halehaka Road Oct. 16 to Oct. 20
LĪHU‘E – The Department of Public Works and its contractor Maui Kupono Builders announce that portions of Halehaka Road, between Akoki Street and Kalae Street, in Līhu‘e will be closed Oct. 16 to Oct. 20, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
This temporary full closure is necessary for road resurfacing work.
Motorists will be detoured around the closure via Hulemalu Road and Puhi Road. Access to properties will be provided for residents.
Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closure, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at both ends of the work zone to direct traffic.
