WAILUA – Kaua‘i Fire Department firefighters extinguished a car fire in Wailua on Tuesday.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a car fire on Aleka Loop in Wailua shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Personnel from the Kapa‘a fire station and Kaua‘i Police Department responded to the incident.
According to a preliminary report, upon arrival, Kapa‘a fire station personnel discovered a sports utility vehicle fully engulfed in flames and quickly extinguished the fire. KPD personnel was on the scene and controlled the perimeter.
The cause of the fire is undetermined.
The scene was cleared shortly after 11:50 p.m.
