Officials advise no swimming at Kekaha Beach due to shark siting
KEKAHA – Ocean Safety Bureau officials are advising no swimming at Kekaha Beach until further notice due to a shark siting.
OSB officials report that a possible 8-foot tiger shark was sighted in waters off Kekaha Beach Monday afternoon. No injuries were reported.
As a safety precaution, Ocean Safety officials have posted warning signs and will continue to monitor the area.
Lifeguards will reassess the area on Tuesday.
Updates will be provided if more information becomes available.
