FULL CLOSURE OF ULUNE STREET ONRAMP TO THE WESTBOUND H-1 FREEWAY DURING THE WEEK OF APRIL 3
HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) notifies motorists of a full closure of the Ulune Street onramp to the westbound H-1 Freeway on Monday night, April 3, through Friday morning, April 7, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for lighting improvements. During closure hours, westbound motorists are advised to take Kamehameha Highway or Moanalua Road as alternate routes. For access to Kamehameha Highway, motorists should take a left onto Kahuapaani Street, a right onto Salt Lake Boulevard, and a right onto Kamehameha Highway to continue westbound. To access Moanalua Road, motorists should continue west on Ulune Street, take a left onto Kaimakani Street and a right onto Moanalua Road.
Message boards will be posted in the area with closure information. Special duty police officers will be onsite to assist with traffic control and safety procedures. First responders and emergency vehicles will not be let through the work zone. Roadwork is weather permitting.
