OAHU LANE CLOSURES FOR THE WEEKEND OF DEC. 6 - DEC. 8
PLEASE NOTE:
Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.
--- H-1 FREEWAY ---
1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)
Left lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between Kaahumanu Street overpass and Kaimakani Street overpass on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., for lighting work.
--- FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTES 93/930) ---
1) MAKAHA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Roving closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in both directions between Kili Drive and Hakimo Road on Sunday night, Dec. 8, through Monday morning, Dec. 9, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for striping work as part of the Farrington Hwy Resurfacing project. Traffic will be contraflowed as needed.
--- KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY (ROUTES 61/72) ---
1) AINA HAINA TO HAWAII KAI (MARATHON CLOSURE)
Closures on state roadways for the Honolulu Marathon will begin at 12:30 a.m. on Ala Moana Boulevard from Atkinson Drive to Ward Avenue. At approximately 2:30 a.m. Nimitz Highway will be closed from Ala Moana Boulevard to Nuuanu Avenue. At approximately 4:55 a.m. Ala Moana Boulevard will be closed from Piikoi Street to Kalakaua Avenue. At approximately 4:30 a.m. the eastbound lanes of Kalanianaole Highway will be closed from Ainakoa Avenue to Keahole Street and traffic will be contraflowed in the westbound lanes. The eastbound lanes on Waialae Avenue will be closed as well from Kilauea Avenue to Kalanianaole Highway. The race begins on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 5 a.m. and routes will be opened as the last participants can be safely ushered onto the sidewalk or the volume of participants no longer cause a hazard.

--- KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY (ROUTES 80/83/99) ---
1) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Full closure of Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) in the westbound direction between Acacia Road and Waihona Street on Sunday night, Dec. 8, through Monday morning, Dec. 9, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for road improvements.
--- LIKELIKE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 63) ---
1) KALIHI (WEEKEND WORK)
Lane closure on Likelike Highway (Route 63) in both directions between Valley View Drive and the Wilson Tunnels on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., for tree trimming.
2) KANEOHE (WEEKEND WORK)
Right lane closure on Likelike Highway in both directions between North School Street and Kahekili Highway on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for tree trimming and guardrail repairs.
3) KANEOHE (WEEKEND WORK)
Roving lane closure on Likelike Highway (Route 63) in both directions between Nalanieha Street and the H-3 Freeway underpass on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for maintenance work.
--- NIMITZ HIGHWAY (ROUTE 92) ---
1) HONOLULU (MARATHON CLOSURE)
Closures on state roadways for the Honolulu Marathon will begin at 12:30 a.m. on Ala Moana Boulevard from Atkinson Drive to Ward Avenue. 1) NUUANU TO KANEOHE (WEEKEND AND WEEKLY CLOSURE)
Closure of the Pali Highway (Route 61) in the Honolulu-bound direction between Waokanaka Street and Kamehameha Highway for slope stabilization. Access to the Pali Highway is as follows:
Kailua-bound direction
- Access is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Honolulu-bound direction
- Access is available on weekdays from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Weekend schedule
- Access is available continuously in both directions from 5 a.m. on Saturday morning, through 8 p.m. on Sunday night.
2) NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Lane closure on the Pali Highway in the northbound direction between Nuuanu Pali Drive and Auloa Road on Friday night, Dec. 6, through Saturday morning, Dec. 7, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for lighting and road repairs.

Closure of Aolele Street in both directions between Paiea Street and Aolewa Place on Sunday night, Dec. 8, through Friday morning, Dec. 13, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for The Rail project. Motorists will be detoured to alternate routes.

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND WORK)
Right lane closure on Kalihi Street (Route 63) in the northbound direction between Hau Street and North King Street on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., road construction work.
2) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Lane closure on Kalihi Street (Route 63) in both directions between Dillingham Boulevard and King Street on Friday night, Dec. 6, through Friday night, Dec. 13, for the Kalihi Street Resurfacing project. Sidewalk closures and detours will be in place at various locations throughout Kalihi Street, from Dillingham Boulevard to Eluwene Street during the weekend work. Closure details are as follows:
