Marietta Fire Department Reminds Residents to Sign Up for FREE "MFD SAFE Program" The Marietta Fire Department would like to remind residents of the City to sign up for its “MFD SAFE Program” which provides FREE Home Fire Safety Visits for the entire City of Marietta community. When requested, members of the Marietta Fire Department will meet you and your family at your home. There MFD will assess, and discuss, things that you can do to prepare for and respond to an emergency. Read more |

Saturday & Sunday September 17-18, 2016 The 25th annual Marietta StreetFest, September 17-18, focuses on the family with many free activities including arts & crafts booths, the Hubcaps and History Classic Show, a kid-friendly activity zone, the Toy Box Trot fun run and the Marietta Grassroots Music Festival. THE TOY BOX TROT: NEW EVENT ADDED TO THE 25TH ANNUAL MARIETTA STREETFEST Saturday, September 17, 2016 The Toy Box Trot, a 1-mile fun run/walk is part of the 25th annual Marietta StreetFest held September 17 & 18, 2016 on the Marietta Square. The Saturday morning race welcomes children and adults of all ages and each race participant will select a toy of their choice from the Toy Box. The mission of Toy Box Trot is to encouraging healthy living and active play outdoors. This race is non-competitive and not timed but awards will be given to 1st place winners in selected age groups. Pre-race activities include information stations from Life University, Harry's Whole Foods, Children Health Care of Atlanta and other local businesses. Read more |

Pop-In to the Museum for a Night of Pop Culture The Marietta Museum of History is pleased to continue its Pop-In for Pop Culture series on Tuesday, August 9th from 4pm to 8pm. This month we are going to have Soda Pop taste tests. We hope to answer the age-old question, which is better, Coke or Pepsi, Seven-Up or Sprite, and we will offer other yummy sodas to try.
