City of Marietta Announces Glover Park Concert Series Schedule The Glover Park Concert Series kicks off the 2016 season on Friday, April 29 at 8 p.m. in Glover Park on the Marietta Square. The series will continue throughout the summer, with concerts scheduled for the last Friday night of each month through September. The concerts are free but if you are looking for a "front-row seat," a limited number of tables can be reserved for a fee. Table reservations are taken on a first come basis (and will sell out quickly) on the first working day of each month beginning at 8:00 a.m. Read more |

City of Marietta Awarded Grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission for Rottenwood Creek Trail On Tuesday, February 9, 2016, the Atlanta Regional Commission announced the awarding of a Livable Center Initiative grant of $400,000 to the City of Marietta for the design and engineering of Phase 1 of the Rottenwood Creek Trail. National Drug Take Back Event April 30th On April 30th, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Marietta Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public its 10th opportunity in five years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Please bring your pills for disposal to the Marietta Police Department at 240 Lemon St Marietta, Ga 30060. (The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches.) Marietta Police Athletic League to Host 10 week Basketball Skill-Building Clinic The Marietta Police Athletic League is hosting a 10 week BASKETBALL Skill-Building Clinic on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8pm at the Lawrence Street Recreation Center, starting March 7 through May 18, for youth ages 8-16. The cost is just $50 per child for the entire 10 weeks. Sign-up daily between the hours of 4-6pm at the Lawrence Street Recreation Center, 510 Lawrence Street, Marietta, GA 30060.
