Gateway Massage: Healing, Community, and Care in Douglasville
Gateway Massage has been helping clients heal and relax in Douglasville since opening its doors in 2020. Founded by Mr. Carl Joyce, the business first began in 2014 as a mobile massage service around Atlanta before growing into a full-time practice in Douglasville. His passion for massage therapy comes from personal experience with physical therapy during college, where he discovered his calling to help others through healing work.
Gateway is known for its focus on customer service and individualized care. “A good product gets people in the door, but how you make them feel keeps them coming back and that’s my focus,” Mr. Joyce shared. Each client receives a service tailored to their unique needs rather than a “cookie cutter” session, with an emphasis on listening, following up, and working toward long-term wellness.
Gateway also takes pride in community involvement. Over the past five years, Mr. Joyce has partnered with the Boys & Girls Club, hosted bowling events for local kids, and participated in charitable fundraisers. “Douglasville seems to be very community forward, and that’s the one true thing I honestly love about the city,” he said.
Promotions and specials are another creative hallmark of Gateway. Mr. Joyce often designs offerings to balance affordability with accessibility, recognizing Douglasville’s diverse community. “Some can afford regular pricing, and some look forward to discounts—I just try to counterbalance the two,” he explained.
Looking ahead, Gateway hopes to continue growing its presence downtown while reminding the community that most small businesses are true labors of love. “We are doing the best we can to work in and work on our businesses while still trying to provide the utmost courtesy and customer service,” Mr. Joyce said.
Gateway Massage LLC is located at 12411 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Suite 3, Douglasville, GA 30134. New clients are always welcome to experience the healing side of massage therapy. To learn more or book a session, visit gatewaymassage.net or call (404) 507-6458.
