Douglasville Parks and Recreation Announced As A Finalist for the 2024 National Gold Medal Awards
We're excited to share that Douglasville Parks and Recreation has once again been chosen as a finalist for the esteemed National Gold Medal Award by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). This award acknowledges excellence in long-term planning, resource management, and inventive approaches to delivering exceptional park and recreation services while maintaining sound fiscal practices. Recipients of the Finalist and Grand Plaque Awards will be revealed during the 2024 NRPA Annual Conference in Atlanta, GA.

Registration is team based but will have a free agent option. This free agent option does not guarantee you to be placed on a roster, but we want everyone to be able to play.

Let's dive into the world of fall fun as we paint our very own pumpkins! It's a spook-tacular chance for toddlers to let their creativity shine and make some boo-tiful art! Enjoy festive snacks, playful giggles, and a cozy, pumpkin-filled environment. The fee for this event is $12 per child and FREE for parents. It is designed for toddlers ages 3-5 to develop social and fine motor skills. Let's paint, play, and create some spook-tacular memories together!

Line Dancing
Mondays from 11:30 am to 1 pm and Wednesdays from 12 pm to 2 pm at the Alice J. Hawthorne Community Center
