Multiple Firearms Ranges Undergoing Changes: Check Your Local Range Info

GEORGIA SHOOTING RANGES: TEMPORARY CLOSURES
Several public shooting ranges in the state have temporary closures. Be sure you check before making plans to go shoot. See below for some current changes:
- Wilson Shoals Shooting Range (NE Georgia at Wilson Shoals WMA): Currently closed due to range improvement work. Scheduled to re-open at 12 Noon on Tues., March 10.
- Mike Commander Shooting Range (SW Georgia near Albany and the Chickasawhatchee WMA): Currently closed due to range improvement work. Scheduled to re-open on Thurs., March 12.
- Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center Shooting Range (Central Georgia - near Mansfield and at the Clybel WMA): The 50-yard range has some availability. However, there are a few bays closed off due to some work in progress. Please do not use those areas.
