Temporary Boat Ramp Closure on Lake Burton: Moccasin Creek Ramp Closed Aug. 18-20

ANGLERS AND BOATERS: TEMPORARY RAMP CLOSURE AT LAKE BURTON, ALTERNATIVE RAMP SUGGESTED
The Moccasin Creek public boat ramp and parking area on Lake Burton will be closed from Monday, Aug. 18 through Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014 for resurfacing. During this time, boaters are encouraged to utilize one of two other public boat ramps available on Lake Burton at either Murray’s Cove or LaPrade’s Marina boat ramp ($5 launch fee).
- Murray’s Cove public boat ramp is located off Bridge Creek Road (34 48’ 50’’N, 83 32’34’’W).
- LaPrade’s Marina is located 1.5 miles south of Moccasin Creek boat ramp on Highway 197 (34 49’ 31’’N,83 35’ 10’’W).
