ATLANTA, October 10, 2011 -- Celebrate fall’s arrival with a free day dedicated to healthy living, outdoor recreation and fresh, local food. Browse a farmer’s market, learn about organic gardening and composting, and even enjoy a free “picnic in the park” created by celebrity chef Todd English. The day will be filled with guided hikes, a climbing wall, geocaching clinics, walking shelter dogs, outdoor games and more. Panola Mountain State Park is just southeast of Atlanta, showcasing a unique granite outcrop, paved biking trail, shaded hiking trails, fishing ponds, playground and nature center.
