Notice of Applications for Permits to Drill Oil and Gas Wells

The Georgia Environmental Protection Division has received two applications for permits to drill an Oil and Gas Well.  Having reviewed such applications, the Environmental Protection Division proposes to issue permits for drilling and construction of these wells pursuant to the Georgia Oil and Gas and Deep Drilling Act of 1975, O.C.G.A. Secs. 12-4-40 et. seq., and the Rules for Oil and Gas and Deep Drilling, Chapter 391-3-13.

Persons wishing to comment upon the proposed applications (Section I of the applications contain the permit form) are invited to submit same in writing via email at EPDcomments@dnr.ga.gov no later than May 11, 2026.  Please be sure to include the words “Application for Permit to Drill an Oil and Gas Well – Georgia On My Mind Well #1” and/or “Application for Permit to Drill an Oil and Gas Well – Georgia On My Mind Well #2” in the subject line to ensure that your comments will be forwarded to the correct staff.  All comments received prior to or on that date will be considered in the formulation of final determinations regarding the application.
