 Chattahoochee Bend Opens New Cottages
Great news for fans of Chattahoochee Bend State Park near Newnan! Three additional cottages are now open, making it easier than ever to spend a few days exploring the park’s trails and river. All have screened porches where you can enjoy morning coffee and the sounds of songbirds. Fire pits welcome you to grill out and toast s’mores in the evening. You can even bring your four-legged family member when you reserve a dog-friendly cottage in advance. Make your reservation today.
Planning a party or reunion? Our meeting spaces let you bring your own catering, are affordable, and include plenty of tables and chairs. Add in gorgeous scenery, walking trails, fishing docks, boat rental, golf and more, and you have the perfect celebration. Great choices include the group shelter at Jack Hill State Park, the elegant Idlewilde at Indian Springs State Park, and the new lakeside meeting center at Fort Yargo State Park.
Golfers, you can earn bragging rights and prizes throughout our annual two-person scramble Georgia State Parks Golf Cup. Teams can choose one or more courses to play throughout spring. The winning team of each event will qualify for the championship tournament held June 14 at Arrowhead Pointe Golf Course. Register at GaStateParks.org/golfcup.
