Welcome Spring!

Welcome spring with a getaway to enjoy wildflowers and songbirds. Spend days hiking, fishing and biking -- and nights making gooey s'mores over a campfire. Georgia’s State Parks offer cabins, campsites and yurts that let you wake up surrounded by beauty. Need ideas? Go fishing at Elijah Clark, rent kayaks at Seminole, or scout for Painted Buntings at Fort McAllister. You’ll find dozens of spring destinations on GaStateParks.org.

Combo Passes Now Available

Combo ParkPass

Annual passes save you money and encourage you to discover new getaways throughout 2023. Our combo package is $85 (a $100 value). It includes a Historic Site Pass so you can travel back to colonial days at Wormsloe or learn about rice cultivation at Hofwyl-Broadfield. It also includes a ParkPass so you can enjoy free parking at Tallulah Gorge, Crooked River and more than 40 additional state parks. Buy passes online or in park offices.

Laura S. Walker State Park

Laura S. Walker camping

Just north of the precious Okefenokee Swamp, Laura S. Walker State Park is home to fascinating flora and fauna, such as alligators and carnivorous pitcher plants. Go fishing or paddling in the 120-acre lake, rent a bike to explore nature trails, or let your four-legged best friend burn energy at the dog park. You can even spend the night in cabins with screened porches. Book a spot today.

Spring Break Getaways

Campfire family

It won’t be long before Spring Breakers are sleeping under the stars, hiking along waterfalls or just lounging by a lake. Our rangers have planned programs for all ages, like nature crafts and archery classes. If your idea of “park hopping” means exploring as many trails as you can find, save money with the Combo Pass. Plan your spring break today by reserving a cabin, yurt or campsite on GaStateParks.org.

Easter Events

Easter Egg Hunt boys

Hop over to one of Georgia’s State Parks and Historic Sites for crafts, photos with the Easter bunny, and even an egg hunt for dogs at Black Rock Mountain. After your little ones fill their baskets with goodies, they can work off energy on playgrounds and trails. Group shelters can be reserved for family potlucks. Find Easter events on GaStateParks.org.
