From reservoirs to rivers, the abundant waters found in Georgia’s State Parks make for a true angler’s and boater’s paradise. Get out on the water during National Fishing and Boating Week, June 4 to 12, and enjoy swimming, paddling, skiing and fishing. Many parks rent boats, provide fishing docks and even offer loaner tackle. Find places to explore on GaStateParks.org.

For outdoorsy dads, a day in nature can be the best gift of all. With Father’s Day just around the corner on June 19, Georgia’s State Parks and Historic Sites make it easy to make long-lasting memories. Treat Dad to “glamping” in yurt, teeing off at a golf course, renting a canoe, or simply grilling out in the shade. Gift cards let Dad plan a cabin getaway later this summer, and ParkPasses ensure a full year of outdoor adventures. Need even more ideas? Check GaStateParks.org for geocaching, boating, bike rental, picnic shelters and more.
