On April 12, 1945, President Franklin D. Roosevelt suffered a fatal stroke while posing for a portrait at his beloved Little White House in Warm Springs, Georgia. Join historians this April 12 at 11 a.m. for a commemorative ceremony on the historic site’s lawn, and on April 10 at 10 a.m., tune in to Georgia Public Broadcasting to watch “A President in our Midst: FDR in Georgia.” The film won Best Documentary and Best Film (People's Choice) at this year’s Southern Film Festival. A DVD of the film has also been distributed to Georgia’s public libraries in partnership with Georgia Humanities Council and a grant from the Rural Library Project Inc.
