Kids can become certified Junior Rangers while learning about Georgia’s outdoors and history. Our new program features activity books specific to 59 state parks and historic sites. Participants can earn wooden collectible badges from each park, plus embroidered stickers for fishing, camping, biking and volunteering. Children will meet new friends while taking ranger-led hikes, learning about Georgia wildlife and history, making nature crafts, taking boat rides and numerous other adventures. Free Junior Ranger books can be picked up at Georgia’s State Parks and Historic Sites, and school groups can download activity sheets from GaStateParks.org/JuniorRanger. Many sites have scheduled Junior Ranger day camps this summer as well.
