Striper Study on Lake Hartwell

A striped bass study is underway on Lake Hartwell. The goals of the project are to determine seasonal migration patterns, areas of compatible summertime water quality for survival, and how many striped bass die of natural causes or are harvested each year. Striped bass included in the study have been tagged with an internal transmitter. If you catch a striped bass with a 3-inch long filament protruding from its belly, DNR encourages you to report the TAG NUMBER by calling (888) 824-7472 and release the fish alive. More info about the study.
