Escape the Heat of the Day With a Night Fishing Trip at a Georgia Public Fishing Area
Time for an all-nighter, of fishing! Beginning May
1 and through Sept. 30, nine Georgia Public Fishing Areas (PFA) will offer
night fishing opportunities.
“During the hot days of summer, anglers will be
able to get a whole different experience at each of these PFAs by visiting them
at night – and we are excited to hear about the stories they will tell,” says Matt Thomas, Chief of
the WRD Fisheries Management Section.
Fisheries staff have been busy installing lights
on fishing piers, and in parking lots on the lakes that will be open to night
fishing.
