OSSABAW ISLAND QUOTA HUNT CANCELLED DUE TO REMAINING DAMAGE FROM HURRICANE MATTHEW
Hurricane Matthew continues to cause issues for coastal-related activities, including the unfortunate cancellation of the Ossabaw Island Quota Hunt, scheduled for Oct. 20-22, 2016.
"It truly pains us to announce the cancellation of this hunt on Ossabaw Island, as we know that people have made extensive plans for time off and travel," said Rusty Garrison, Director, Georgia DNR Wildlife Resources Division. "However, the area is not at all ready for people to be on site so soon after Hurricane Matthew."
Hunters will receive their hunt priority points BACK when a hunt is cancelled by DNR.
