PROPOSED REGULATIONS FOR ALAPAHA RIVER WMA AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW; PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED
Hunters and other interested citizens are encouraged to review proposed hunting regulations for the 2016-2017 season at the new Alapaha River Wildlife Management Area and make plans to attend a scheduled public hearing.
“The acquisition of this almost 7,000-acre tract along the Alapaha River provides for a diverse hunting opportunity,” said John Bowers, chief of the Game Management Section. “The proposed regulations include hunting for deer, turkey, small game and migratory birds.”
