Hunt and Learn Programs

Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center is pleased to announce the continuation of the Hunt and Learn programs focusing on hunting skills and conservation knowledge.

Children, ages 10 - 17, and their supervisors are invited to stay for the weekend, hunt the property, and participate in a variety of skills-based and conservation-focused programs.

Classes include hunting basics for various types of game, how to care for harvested game, conservation education and much more!  Hunter Ed classes will be offered if participants do not currently have certification.  Don’t worry. There will still be plenty of time for hunting!

Participants will stay and eat at the conference center at Charlie Elliott. Adults and children over 16 must possess current hunting licenses.  (See state regulations for more information.)

If your child attended a Hunt and Learn last year, then they cannot register for the same hunt and learn this year. For example, if they attended Hunt and Learn Deer last year, then they cannot register for Hunt and Learn Deer again this year.

However, they are welcome to attend any of the other Hunt and Learns for which they did not attend last year.  This will help us make the programs available to everyone.

Registration for these programs opens at 9:00 am Monday August 3rd.  To register, call 770-784-3059.
