 Chatham County Honors West Chatham Activist Anita Boutwell
Chatham County honored the life of West Chatham Community Activist Anita Boutwell on Saturday, June 6, with a commemoration ceremony for a custom park bench in L. Scott Stell Park.
Boutwell was devoted to the improvement of the West Chatham Community and founded the West Chatham County Community Watch Committee, giving residents a place to voice concerns about their community.

Earlier this month, Girl Scouts from across the region came together for Camp Operation: REACT, a week of hands-on emergency response training at Camp Low.
The camp was a collaboration between Chatham County, the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, and Memorial Health that gave Girl Scouts in seventh through ninth grade a firsthand look at what it means to lead during a crisis.
