Chatham County Board of Commissioners to Hold District Town Hall Meetings on SPLOST

Chatham County, GA (May 9, 2025) - The Chatham County Board of Commissioners will be hosting town hall meetings within their districts to discuss the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST). The Commissioners will be asking for resident input to develop the SPLOST 8 project list.
The Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) was initially approved by voters in Chatham County in 1985, allowing an investment in capital improvements through a 1 penny sales tax. SPLOST projects include roads, drainage, recreation, economic development and civic projects.

District 1 – Commissioner Wayne Noha DATE: May 13, 2025 TIME: 6 p.m. LOCATION: Montgomery Athletic Association, 10155 Ferguson Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406
District 4 – Commissioner Pat Farrell DATE: May 14, 2025 TIME: 6 p.m. LOCATION: Frank G. Murray Community Center, 125 Wilmington Island Road, Savannah, GA 31410
District 5 – Commissioner Tanya Milton DATE: May 15, 2025 TIME: 6 p.m. LOCATION: Liberty City Community Center, 1401 Mills B Lane Blvd., Savannah, GA 31405
Additional district meetings will be announced soon. There will also be a virtual Town Hall meeting on June 3, 2025. Details will be released next week.
