Partial Closure of McQueen’s Island Trail Due to Hurricane Helene Damage
For Immediate Release
Chatham County, GA (October 15, 2024) - McQueen’s Island Trail has sustained damage from Hurricane Helene. As a result, public access from the midpoint to the western portion of the trail will be temporarily restricted.
Updates regarding the trail's reopening will be provided as soon as assessments and repairs are completed
WHAT: Partial Closure of McQueen's Island Trail
WHEN: Now until further notice
WHERE: Midpoint access to the western portion of the trail
 Box in red highlights the midpoint entrance. The trail to the west of the midpoint entrance will be closed for repair.
