- Flood Warning till 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, August 7th

- Flood Watch continues until Friday, August 9th

Rainfall/Flooding: and additional 2-3” of precipitation is anticipated through Friday, August 9th
- Wind and Storm Surge:
- Nothing to report at this time

Evacuations:
- Residents are encouraged to sign up for and monitor CEMA alerts at chathamemergency.org or text CEMA to 77295 to receive alerts
PUBLIC SAFETY:
- We are coordinating with departments, municipalities, and the state to coordinate swift-water rescue resources
TRANSPORTATION:

GDOT:
- Not currently planning to close Talmadge unless something changes
- Civilians can report road/bridge issues through 511
- To check for road closures, check the WAZE app
- AIRPORT:
- Airport will remain operational; however, airlines may delay and/or cancel flights depending on weather conditions
- Travelers are advised to keep in contact with the airline with whom they are flying
- CAT:
- ALL CAT facilities and operations will be suspended through Wednesday, August 7th. CAT officials will continue to monitor the storm situation before determining the operational status for Thursday, August 8th.
HEALTH & MEDICAL:
- We have been coordinating with Chatham County Health Department & Coastal Health District to ensure the safety of vulnerable populations.
SCHOOLS:
- Chatham County Schools will be closed with no E-learning or staff work on Wednesday, August 7th.
CHATHAM COUNTY & SURROUNDING MUNICIPALITIES:
- Chatham County and other local municipalities, to include the courthouse, will be closed Wednesday, August 7th
- Garden City administrative buildings and all city buildings will be closed Wednesday, August 7th. Municipal Court will also be closed, and cases will be rescheduled. City Officials will make an evaluation on Thursday to determine when it will be safe to reopen
- Live Oak Public Libraries will be closed Wednesday, August 7th. All branches are expected to open Thursday, August 8th at 10 a.m. with normal resumption of services and programs.
TRASH PICK-UP:
- Trash collection will resume on Wednesday on a one-day delayed schedule
- Tuesday’s routes will run on Wednesday
- Wednesday’s routes on Thursday
- Thursday’s routes on Friday
- Missed routes will be serviced as quickly as possible
