 Celebrate Black History Month in the Community!
 Upcoming BHM Programs at the Mandel Public Library!
Families are invited to enjoy a Movie Movie Marathon in KidSpace this Saturday, February 21, featuring films throughout the day in celebration of Black History Month.
Also happening on Saturday, February 21, don’t miss Hip Hop for Kids Presents African Dance, a fun and engaging cultural experience for young participants. Space is limited, and in-person sign-up begins in KidSpace a half an hour prior.
Adults can also take part in a special Hair Wrapping Workshop on Tuesday, February 24. Registration is required.

Attend Downtown West Palm Beach's Black Art Matters Events!
Black Art Matters is a weekly February event series held every Thursday, showcasing talented young Black artists in our community. Each week features a live performance highlighting a different artist and art form — from music and dance to visual and multimedia art. Bring your friends, support local artists, and celebrate creativity and culture with us!
February 19 — Palm Beach Lakes High School Choir
Voices of Unity is the choral program at Palm Beach Lakes High School, committed to musical excellence and student development. This student ensemble performs across school and community events, delivering polished choral arrangements and engaging audiences with rich, ensemble-driven sound.

Shatayvia Dunn known as “Via” is a West Palm Beach visual artist whose work centers on black-and-white realism, anime-influenced illustration, and live face painting. After losing her grandmother at 15, art became her refuge and ultimately her calling, helping her heal and reconnect. For the past 2.5 years she has worked on paid commissions and exhibited locally, including a 2025 Riviera Beach show. Via creates custom portraits and live face art with emotional care, transforming memories and ideas into detailed, meaningful pieces that resonate with clients and communities.

Happy Chinese New Year to all who celebrate! Tuesday, February 17, marked the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse and the start of 15 celebratory days of Spring Festival festivities. During the Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, families, friends, and community members gather across the globe to enjoy traditional foods, festivals, dances, and meaningful time together. The Year of the Fire Horse symbolizes courage, strength, and high energy.

Local Pet Rescues with adoptable pets and vendors with pet-specific products and services will be on site, plus a fabulous fashion show featuring dogs strutting on the catwalk at 10:30 a.m.!
