 Celebrate National Pollinator Week
Pollinator Week is an annual celebration in support of pollinator health that was initiated and is managed by Pollinator Partnership. It is a time to raise awareness for pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them. The great thing about Pollinator Week is that you can celebrate and get involved any way you like! The City of West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability is celebrating National Pollinator Week by mailing free native wildflower seed packets to City of West Palm Beach residents and businesses! Growing native plants adds beauty and important habitats for wildlife, especially for pollinators. Even a small backyard garden can make a big difference. Plant the seeds in your yard and watch pollinators come right to your doorstep.
Free wildflower seeds available (while supplies last):

City of West Palm Beach Recognized as Clean Cities Champion
At this year’s Drive Green Fleet Expo, the Southeast Florida Clean Cities Coalition honored the City of West Palm Beach with the “Clean Cities Champion 2023” award for its outstanding support of clean transportation initiatives and sustainability leadership throughout the year.
The Office of Sustainability promotes clean transportation year-round through community events such as e4 Life: Green, Health & Wellness Expo, Mobility Week, and Drive Electric.
Further demonstrating our leadership, Mayor Keith A. James recently signed the Charge@Work pledge, reinforcing the City’s commitment to providing environmentally sustainable infrastructure.
“This pledge reflects our mission to provide an environmentally sustainable infrastructure that benefits our employees, residents, and visitors,” said Mayor James. “We’re working to provide our workers access to a cleaner commute. West Palm Beach leads in innovation and amenities that support better retention of happier, more productive employees.”
Charge@Work, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, helps public and private employers develop and implement workplace EV charging programs. Learn more at www.chargeatwork.com.
Additionally, the City earned Silver Electric Vehicle Adoption Leadership (EVAL) Certification for three City-owned parking garages—another step in our drive toward a cleaner, more sustainable future.

 Currie Park Redevelopment
The City of West Palm Beach and West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency broke ground on the much-anticipated redesign of Currie Park on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Located on North Flagler Drive, Currie Park is a waterfront gem that was redesigned to incorporate many of the concepts and desires collected during numerous community outreach meetings. Members of George Currie's family were on hand to celebrate the legacy of their ancestor, who served as the City's seventh Mayor from 1901 to 1904, and joined in the ceremonial groundbreaking event.
The West Palm Beach CRA is providing a series of community outreach events to gather input of what residents, stakeholders, and businesses would like to see in terms of park programming, events, and amenities that will be provided at the park. The next session is on Thursday, May 29!
