Building on the 2018 Bicycle Master Plan, The City’s goal for the Bicycle Master Plan update is to expand the network of low-stress bike routes to daily destinations. The City will be holding one community meeting in each district to give residents the opportunity to help us update the plan.

 Police Department Awarded New E-Bikes
We are thrilled to announce that our Police Department has been awarded $74,416 through the 2024 BJA FY 24 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program, approved by Attorney General Merrick B. Garland!
With this funding, we received state-of-the-art E-bikes that will be customized specifically for West Palm Beach! These E-bikes will enhance officer safety, reduce response times, and help improve public relations. Our officers in the Patrol Bicycle Unit have just completed training on the proper setup and use of the bikes, allowing them to work more effectively in teams and fight crime in a faster, more efficient way!
This is a big step toward making our community safer and more connected.

We are incredibly proud of Teawanna Teal for representing the Historic Northwest and Habitat for Humanity during the 2025 Legislative Committee Week in Tallahassee! As a homeowner in the Historic Northwest, thanks to a partnership between the West Palm Beach CRA and Habitat, Teawanna shared her personal journey and the program's transformative impact. While advocating for funding to purchase land and build homes for future homeowners, she connected with lawmakers, including Senators Tina Polsky and Mack Bernard, and met with State Representative Jervonte Edmonds. Teawanna’s efforts highlighted the importance of affordable housing and how Habitat for Humanity is making a difference in our communities. Thank you, Teawanna, for being a powerful advocate for our community!
