The Mayor’s Jumpstart Academy creates an opportunity for micro-business owners to excel by providing them with comprehensive support in business development, marketing strategies, and financial management.

City Hall & The Mandel Public Library Closed on Monday, Oct. 14, in Observance of Columbus Day
On Monday, Oct. 14, City Hall and the Mandel Public Library will be closed in observance of Columbus Day, also recognized as Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
Like many U.S. cities, during the second Monday in October we also celebrate indigenous heritage and resilience.
*Regular trash/bulk waste will be collected on schedule.

Saving energy, water, and money is easy! Small steps can make a big difference, and we are here to help. Join our Sustainability Program Coordinator Lara Shlyapina, as she teaches you all the ways you can make simple upgrades to your home. By participating in the Home Improvement Program, you can learn conservation tips and receive free resources (high efficient shower head, LED light bulbs, weatherstripping, shower timer, adjustable toilet flapper, and more) to help you start saving energy, water, and money at home and reducing the effects of climate change.

Broadway Corridor Redevelopment Study

Join the City, CRA team, and your neighbors on Wednesday, October 23, at 6 p.m. for an updated presentation of the Broadway Corridor. This informative presentation from the City’s consultants will explain the proposed changes to the zoning regulations for Broadway. The modifications are the result of dozens of the comments and ideas that were received during previous workshops and meetings.
