The City of West Palm Beach encourages residents to be prepared for potential coastal flooding during the annual King Tides that occur each fall. The first of five King Tides began on Thursday, Sept. 19, and will last through tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024.
What are King Tides? King Tides are higher-than-normal tides that typically last around three hours and normally occur during the fall — on or around a full moon.
While we do not expect widespread flooding, there is potential for localized flooding, so we want residents to be aware, prepare, and stay vigilant.
