Mayor Keith James and other City leaders met with this year's participants in the Leadership West Palm Beach program, as they made the rounds to learn more about our City.
ArtLife in partnership with the CRA commissioned local artists Molly Aubry and Ates Islidak for Serenity Park and Blum Park in the Northwood Village area. They were asked to work together to create a unique visual and auditory experience for visitors.
Molly Aubry produced multiple variations of metal geometric sculptures with glass inserts titled “Prismatic Tessellations.” Accompanying the sculptures Ates Islidak created a sound installation titled “Voices of Northwood.” These auditorily personify the area through associative music which is everyday environmental sounds arranged alongside melodies and rhythms to provoke a visceral or emotive reaction from the listener.

West Palm Beach Police Department Prepares for Accreditation Review
A team of assessors from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) will arrive Tuesday, April 2, 2024, to examine all aspects of our agency’s policies and procedures, management, training, operations, and support services. This year will be our fourth re-accreditation with CFA, and we were previously accredited with CALEA between 2000-2012.
