2025 Resident Parking Passes

Back end of cars

The city has moved away from the outdated pay-by-space operations to a pay-by-plate system. You no longer have to worry about losing your pass!

The same rules apply to the virtual pass as the city had with the physical pass.  Residents will need to (1) provide ID, (2) proof of residency, and (3) vehicle registration(s) to purchase a resident parking pass.  The digital passes are $5 each for the calendar year.  Only two passes per resident.

These changes are part of the plan to allow residents more control over their parking passes and provide more flexibility as to how they can be used. As the online permitting system is live, all residents with a parking pass will be able to change their license plates, request a second pass, provide temporary guest passes by changing their plate information to the guests, renewing their annual passes, and many other services completely online. This new pay-by-plate operation utilizes license plate reader (LPR) technology, which uses specialized cameras mounted to our parking enforcement vehicles to read license plates as the officer drives along. As the camera scans the plates, it will recognize whether a plate has an active parking session and allow the officer to act accordingly. Residents who purchase a pass will always be treated as "paid." As long as your plate is visible and in the system.

Paid parking is coming back.  All city parking areas will contain signage for the mobile payment app ParkMobile and “Text To Park” using the specified zone number for parking.

Because we will be using the License Plate reader (LPR) in the new year, it is important to note that you MUST NOT BACK IN TO YOUR PARKING SPACE. The license plate must be visible to parking enforcement.
