If your pool needed to be drained due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, you may be eligible for a sewer credit for the water used to refill it. Here’s what you need to apply: • A copy of your Pinellas County Utility (PCU) bill or your account number. • If a company serviced your pool, provide a letter detailing what was done, why, and how many gallons of water were used. • If you serviced the pool yourself, write an email explaining what you did, why, and the number of gallons used.
Why Gallons Matter: • The sewer credit is based on the number of gallons used, so it’s essential to include that information.
Send information to: mevans@mytreasureisland.org
Once received, the city will apply the credit directly to your PCU account.

Pinellas County Solid Waste will host a household chemical collection event in Treasure Island. This event aims to provide barrier island residents with a convenient way to safely dispose of unwanted household chemicals in the aftermath of hurricanes Helene and Milton. It will occur on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to noon at the old Treasure Island Fire/Police Department Parking Lot, 180 108th Ave.
A government-issued ID will be required and scanned to verify residency. For a list of accepted materials and quantity limits, visit Pinellas.gov/hhw. There you can also find a list of permanent drop-off locations in Pinellas County.
