Garbage collection is back on a normal schedule. If you still have debris in front of your place, please continue to place your cans/bins in front of the pile.

Debris management contractors continue debris collection. They are making a total first pass around the city before making another pass. We kindly remind residents to separate their debris and NOT use black trash bags. Residents are also reminded to place debris at the curb (city right-of-way). Debris contractors will not come onto private property to collect debris. The city and contractors are making progress, having collected more than 64,000 cubic yards of debris—that’s about 6,400 full dump trucks of debris that have been removed. Let’s continue to work together as we recover and shine again.

Residents and businesses are also reminded that they must dispose of household chemicals themselves. They can do this by taking chemicals to one of the county’s drop-off sites or one of their household chemical collection events. The next Household Chemical Collection Event will be tomorrow, Oct. 26, at 29582 US Hwy 19 N. in Clearwater from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
