The Mayor and Commissioners held a Special City Commission Meeting on Friday, April 19, with Doug Thomas from Strategic Government Resources to review candidates for the City Manager position. Commissioners narrowed the field from 62 applicants to 14 semi-finalists.
The 14 semi-finalists in no particular order:

- Charles Anderson
- James Slaton
- Jeff Mihelich
- Kenneth Griffin
- Patrick Comiskey
- Lawrence McNaul
- Paul Brake
- Robert Hillard
- Scott Moye
- Taylor Brown
- Thomas Yates
After narrowing the search to 3-5 finalists, the Mayor and Commission will then hold a public meeting on June 19 and 20 to meet the finalists and conduct interviews.
