❗️ We know everyone is ready for the bridges to open so you can get back on the island to check your homes and businesses. Before the bridges can reopen, the county and cities are working together to make sure that the sewer pump stations and lift stations have power or are connected to a generator. Additionally, the city is also in the process of conducting its initial damage assessment and making sure the roads are clear.
City officials in Treasure Island and the other municipalities are currently doing this as quickly as they can so they can open the bridges and let people back onto the islands. We anticipate the barrier island will be reopened sometime tonight, but do not have the official time as of yet. All municipalities along the beach must be ready before the bridges can reopen.
Homes That Were/Are Flooded:
If you had water come into your house, TURN OFF the main breaker. This will help prevent a fire. Before turning the breaker back on have it looked at by a licensed electrician. Following this information will help prevent a fire or someone getting electrocuted.
