Treasure Island, Florida email notification

Hurricane Idalia Update

Storm surge is still battering Treasure Island and there are numerous reports of flooding. Winds also continue to be gusty. Treasure Island bridges remain closed and access to the island is restricted. There is NO re-entry until further notice even if you have proper ID or re-entry permits. High tide is at 11:30 a.m. and significant flooding is forecast to continue throughout the day.

If your home is flooded, turn off the electricity. If you have an emergency call 911.
Residents are urged to stay off the roads and continue to shelter from the storm.
Avoid flooded areas and standing water. Do not wade through floodwaters, which could have live power lines, sewage, wildlife and dangerous objects.
If your power is out, DO NOT call 911. Contact Duke Energy by texting OUT to 57801 or call 800-228-8485.
Once conditions improve, TIPD and TIFR will begin damage assessments around the island.
