Country Club Circle Update

The recent rain event resulted in severe flooding within E and W Country Club Circle area. Engineering and Public Works were faced with major challenges due to the lack of drainage facilities in the area. We implemented innovative solutions and relieved some areas, including SW 51st Avenue and NW 9th Court,  E Country Club Circle and NW 6th Street.

The remaining area of E Country Club is still experiencing flooding, but water is receding by infiltration and evaporation. While our options are very limited since the nearest drainage facility is more than 1,500 feet away, we deployed additional temporary measures today to provide relief to the community.

To address this situation, Engineering will be analyzing feasible drainage facilities for this area and present the options to administration in the near future.
