NOTICE TO INDUSTRY:
2026 Catastrophe Reporting Form (CRF)
The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) has posted the 2026 Catastrophe Reporting Form (CRF) for collecting claims and other relevant information from insurance companies following a natural disaster causing catastrophic damage in the state of Florida.
The OIR is providing the 2026 CRF to companies in preparation for the Atlantic Hurricane Season, which will begin on June 1, 2026. If a natural disaster causes catastrophic damage in the state of Florida, all insurers and other regulated entities will be required to provide claims and other relevant information using the CRF.

Immediately following an event, companies will be required to submit simplified claims data. At a time specified by OIR, OIR will provide notice that companies must submit enhanced claims data.
Simplified Claims Data: Includes all tabs within the CRF, excluding the “Survey” tab
Enhanced Claims Data: Includes all tabs within the CRF, including the “Survey” tab
Depending on OIR direction, companies will either file the Simplified CRF or the Enhanced CRF.

The following updates have been made to the 2026 “Data Filing”:
Summary Tab
Reclassified “Private Passenger Auto Physical Damage” and “Commercial Auto Physical Damage” from “Other Lines of Business” into their own designated section.
Survey Tab
Reclassified “Private Passenger Auto Physical Damage” and “Commercial Auto Physical Damage” from “Other Lines of Business” into their own designated section
