This notice is to inform you that you are required to submit a 2023 Professional Liability Claims Reporting (PLCR) for the following companies:

Data Call Overview
In accordance with sections 627.912 and 627.9126, Florida Statutes, all companies that write the following are required to submit a Professional Liability Claims Reporting filing to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR):
- Medical Professional Liability Insurance;
- Lawyers Professional Liability Insurance; and/or
- Officers and Directors Professional Liability
If your company has no claims to report, a no-data submission is required. Risk Retention Groups are not required to file claims and no data reports, but are encouraged to voluntarily comply. Alternatively, if claims occur and a Risk Retention Group does not wish to report them, they should have a communications process in place that instructs their insured parties to properly file claims within the statutory time limit.
Filing Deadline
Filing Deadline: April 1, 2024 by 11:59 p.m. ET
Reporting Dates: January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023
Penalty: Companies are required to submit Professional Liability Claims by 11:59 p.m. ET April 1, 2024. Failure to comply will result in a referral to OIR's Property and Casualty Market Investigation Unit for further action.

Each company must submit its filing on an individual company basis.
