OIR Update to the House Commerce Committee
On February 24, 2021, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) provided an update on the state of the property insurance market to the House Commerce Committee. The report is available here.
Since the February 24 response, OIR has mined additional information from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Market Conduct Annual Statement (MCAS) Data Call to further provide information on litigation trends in the Florida insurance market. OIR has provided that data in a supplemental letter to the House Commerce Committee Chair. The supplemental letter is available here.
