Summer Reading 2021

Summer Reading

The 2021 Summer Reading Challenge Is On!

Sign up for the Miami-Dade Public Library System's annual Summer Reading Challenge through August 7 for a chance to win great prizes! Every 30 minutes spent reading or listening to a book, and each library program or event you attend, earns you an entry into a prize drawing at the end of the summer.

The more you read, the greater your chances of winning! Readers of all ages are invited to participate. Additionally, children who see parents and adults in their lives reading tend to read more and build healthier reading habits.

IMPROVING MDPLS

Restroom Renovations at
Westchester Regional Library

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Javier D. Souto joined Library Director Ray Baker and others on June 11 for the official reopening of the newly renovated first-floor restrooms at the Westchester Regional Library. The new restrooms include a number of cost-effective and eco-friendly improvements, such as water-saving fixtures, energy-efficient lighting and automatic electric hand dryers.

We’re working every day at MDPLS to provide the public with extraordinary library services, spaces and experiences. In addition to numerous library renovation and improvement projects, our libraries are operating on an expanded schedule to better serve the needs of the community. We encourage you to visit us at the Westchester Regional Library, or any of our other library locations, to discover everything your local library has to offer.
