Free Grab and Go Meals for Kids Now Available at Four Additional Library Locations
Kids 18 years and under can continue to enjoy free, nutritious meals through our Healthy Body, Healthy Mind Grab and Go Meals program, now available for weekly pick-up at four additional library locations: Edison Center Branch, Lemon City Branch, Little River Branch and Model City Branch.
Sisters For Abundant Living is now providing seven breakfasts and lunches every week at 16 participating branches throughout the County through June 5. Meal boxes will be distributed at different times on either Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays depending on the library location. Meals will be available each week on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
Adults may pick up the meals without the child being present by providing one of the following for each child receiving meals:
- Student ID
- Report card or progress report
- Student Portal access
- Birth certificate
- Insurance card
- VPK registration
Adults can also receive more than one box of meals by providing identification for each child.

Homestead Branch Library Has Closed
The Homestead Branch Library has closed as of March 21. For nearby library services, please visit the newly opened City of Homestead Cybrarium at 80 West Mowry Drive or the Naranja Branch Library at 14850 SW 280 Street.
County residents may apply for a free Cybrarium card to access the Homestead Cybrarium. Homestead residents can also continue to use their MDPLS card to access materials and services at any of our library locations.
Requested items that were on hold at the Homestead Branch Library have been transferred to the Naranja Branch Library. You may continue to return items in the book drops outside the Homestead Branch Library through April 30.
