Celebrating Women's Voices and their Achievements

Join us as we celebrate Women's History Month in March with a variety of online programs and events that celebrate and give voice to the many important contributions women have made throughout history.

Enjoy exciting events inspired by women who have influenced a wide range of pursuits, including art, culture, economics and the sciences.

Online Workshop: Create a Women's Empowerment Poster

Celebrate the empowerment of women around the world by creating your own poster combining colorful drawings and text. Space is limited. Ages 8 - 15 years.

Materials needed: paper, magazines, pencil, glue stick, scissors, crayons,
makers and pictures of inspiring women (optional).

Contemporary Women Artists

Find artistic inspiration in the lives and works of contemporary women artists by creating your own masterpiece in the style of a female artist. Meet fellow art lovers and discuss formats that include painting, drawing and sculpture. Space is limited. Ages 7 - 13 years.

Virtual Author Series with Silvia Lopez

Celebrate Women’s History Month by joining local author Silvia Lopez as she presents her latest book, Selena, reina de la música Tejana (Selena, Queen of Tejano Music), the inspirational and moving story about the life of Latin superstar Selena Quintanilla. A Q&A session with the author will follow. Book is available for checkout in both English and Spanish. Space is limited. Ages 4 - 9 years.
