Happy Holidays

Warm Wishes for a Joyous Holiday Season and a Healthy, Happy New Year from all of us at the Miami-Dade Public Library System

HOLIDAY HOURS

In observance of Christmas and New Year's, please note the following holiday hours:

All library locations will be open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on December 24 and 31 with the exception of the following:

Sunny Isles Beach Branch - Open 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Civic Center Branch - Open 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Bay Harbor Islands Branch - Closed December 24 / Open 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on December 31 

All library locations will be closed December 25 through 27 and January 1.

If you're in need of materials, remember our online library is always open. We encourage you to visit www.mdpls.org to enjoy eBooks, digital magazines, movies, music and more, available for free with your library card.  Don't have one?  Sign up for an eCard and get immediate access!

Online Homework Help & Tutoring sessions will not be available on Saturday, December 26 and January 2. Online sessions will resume Saturday, January 9. Registration opens Friday, January 1.

Design a New Year’s Candle Holder

Enhance your New Year's Eve décor by learning to create your own 3D printable candle holders using Tinkercad, a free online 3D modeling program. Space is limited. Ages 14 years and up.

Virtual Author Series with Alexandra Alessandri

Join local author Alexandra Alessandri and her puppet friend “Año Viejo” as they say goodbye to 2020 during this virtual storytime and Q&A session. Alessandri will read from her debut picture book, Feliz New Year, Ava Gabriela!, a warm-hearted story about a shy little girl who meets her large, extended family as they celebrate a New Year’s Eve infused with Colombian traditions.
