Homework Help & tutoring Program

Get Homework Help & Tutoring at Additional Library Locations! 

The MDPLS Homework Help and Tutoring Program has expanded and is now being offered at nine additional library locations. Certified teachers are available to meet with small groups of students grades K-12 at the library to provide free homework help and tutoring in reading, math and science. One-hour tutoring sessions are available on Saturdays at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Model City Branch Library.

Miss Humblebee's Academy

Online preschool learning made fun! 

Miss Humblebee's Academy is an early literacy program for parents and their children that helps prepare 2 - 6 year olds for success in kindergarten and beyond. This interactive online learning program introduces children to key concepts in math, science and social studies, language and literacy, art, and music through hundreds of guided lessons while providing parents with regular progress reports. Your children can learn while having fun in a safe online classroom environment.  It's another great resource available for free with your library card.

Join the Xavier Cortada projects team for an engaging presentation that will motivate you to plan(T) mangrove propagules in your yard as a way to encourage you to think and learn more about sea level rise and begin planning for the future of our community. Seedlings will be given away at the end of each presentation.
