FPUA Launches Restoration Efforts
FPUA Crews and Mutual Aid Responders restoring power across Fort Pierce.
Fort Pierce, Florida – October 10, 2024 – FPUA crews began restoring services this morning after Hurricane Milton disrupted power for nearly 55 percent of the FPUA customer base during last night’s severe weather.
Early this morning, as wind speeds decreased below 35 mph, FPUA substation crews and field supervisors began damage assessments across the FPUA’s service area. FPUA field crews, with support from Mutual Aid Responders from Scottsboro, AL have been dispatched to initiate power restoration.
FPUA understands the importance of restoring power to homes and businesses and is committed to resolving these outages as quickly and safely as possible. The safety of FPUA customers and the safety of FPUA and Mutual Aid crews remain top priorities throughout the restoration process.
